Head-on car accident in Washington leaves 9 with injuries

| Feb 15, 2019 | Personal Injury |

Being involved in a major collision can be a stressful and scary experience. Unfortunately, a collision can take place at any give moment and under a variety of circumstances, and the fallout of the incident could leave one or more of those involved with serious injuries. As many as nine individuals were injured in a recent car accident after a driver crossed the center line and struck another vehicle in Washington.

According to reports, the accident took place on a recent Sunday afternoon when the driver of a southbound van lost control of his vehicle and entered an oncoming lane of traffic. The van proceeded to strike a second vehicle head-on soon thereafter. The driver of a third vehicle was reportedly unable to react in time to avoid the collision and his vehicle also collided with the van.

According to law enforcement agents, up to nine people, three of whom were minors, suffered injuries in the crash. Some of those involved in the accident were subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment. Authorities have advised than an investigation is currently underway and they have stated that the driver who caused the crash has already been issued a citation for traffic violations.

Those who suffer severe injuries in a car accident involving a negligent driver may wish to know more about their options for pursuing restitution, but they might be uncertain where to turn for advice. Following a crash, a person could choose to retain the services of an attorney for guidance on how best to approach the situation. An attorney in Washington can help a client pursue the full amount of compensation entitled through a personal injury claim.
