Driving while under the influence of alcohol can be a hazardous decision, and such an act may become even more dangerous during times of adverse weather. Those who choose to operate a vehicle while impaired may place the safety of others at risk in the process. Up to seven individuals suffered injuries in a recent car accident involving a suspected drunk driver that took place during snowy weather conditions in Washington.

The incident reportedly occurred on a recent Sunday morning during times of adverse weather conditions. According to reports, the accident began when a driver suddenly slammed into a nearby snow plow. The impact of the initial collision pushed the first vehicle into an oncoming lane, where it collided with a third vehicle head-on, and a fourth vehicle was reportedly struck by debris from the crash.

Police stated that as many as seven individuals were rushed to the hospital for treatment of injuries following the crash. The driver who caused the collision was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired. Although the accident occurred during inclement weather conditions, police have stated that this doesn’t appear to have been a contributing factor.

Suffering serious injuries in a car accident due to another party’s negligent decisions can be a difficult thing to accept. Those who encounter harm under similar circumstances may wish to exercise their rights to pursue accountability through the civil justice system, and they could choose to retain the services of an attorney for guidance in the process. An attorney can assist a client in Washington in seeking the restitution deserved through a personal injury claim against the party deemed responsible.
