Biography

Brian works with individual and business clients to provide competent representation in matters related to Family Law, Landlord-Tenant, Real Estate, Condemnation, Municipal, Wills/estates, and Bankruptcy, including handling litigation, mediations, and arbitrations.

In 2003, Brian became the first legal intern for Hanis Irvine Prothero, PLLC, while he attended law school. After passing the Bar Exam in 2004, he joined the firm as the first Associate Attorney hired out of law school.  In 2009, Brian became a Partner at Hanis Irvine Prothero, PLLC.

Prior to working for the firm, he worked for the Water Distribution crew for the City of Kent Water Department, while he attended college.

Brian has committed himself to a number of organizations to help better the community we all share.

  • Graduated from the Leadership Institute of South King County in 2007.
  • Past President and Trustee of the South King County Bar Association
  • Past member of the Board of Directors for the Renton Technical College Foundation.

 

Brian has also volunteered at a number of organizations, churches, and schools including coaching for local youth sports teams and at a local high school as a football coach. 

From 2011through 2016, Brian was proudly recognized as a "Top Attorney in Washington Rising Star" by Seattle Met Magazine. This recognition is for his professional achievements as recognized by his peers.

Brian has also been named one of the 10 Best for Client Satisfaction in Bankruptcy for 2014 by the American Institute of Bankruptcy Attorneys (AIOBA.org).  His nomination is made by clients/peers and is for obtaining 10/10 in client satisfaction, no negative feedback, is top rated by his clients/peers, and is seen as an industry leader.

When Brian is not working he spends every moment he can with his beautiful wife, Megan, and their three children, Kayda, Dillon, and Carson.

Brian also enjoys coaching his kids, traveling, watching movies, playing any and all sports, working on his home, and is an avid sports junkie and fan – in particular, the Seattle Seahawks along with the other Seattle teams, and the teams of the universities he attended.
