Lee Thomas
Lee is a legal intern at Hanis Irvine Prothero. He assists attorneys at the firm in researching legal issues and drafting pleadings. Lee is currently a law student at Seattle University and will take the Washington State Bar Exam in July 2008. Before Law School, Lee not only graduated from the University of Washington, but also studied abroad at the University of Nantes in France.
While at law school, Lee focuses on civil litigation and property law. He also works as a teaching assistant to first year law students, and spent the fall of 2007 as a Judicial Extern for Federal District Court Judge Marsha J. Pechman at the District Court for the Western District of Washington. As a Judicial Extern, Lee assisted Judge Pechman in researching legal issues, drafting bench memos, and drafting opinions.
Law School Intern
Lee has had substantial 'real-world' experience as a Junior High School History teacher, and as the Head Coach of both the Track and Wrestling Programs at Sequoia Junior High School in Kent.
Lee has also served the community as a Commissioner on the Kent Arts Commission; and as the Campaign Manager for the successful Les Thomas campaign for the Kent City Council.
Lee is a Kent native and graduated from Kent-Meridian High School in 1997. Lee now lives in Seattle with his wife, Courtnei, and their two daughters, Eleanor and Pearl. Courtnei is also a law student at Seattle University.
