Lee Thomas was selected by his Seattle
University School of Law 2008 graduating classmates as class speaker
at the
Graduation of the 300 members of the 2008 Seattle University Law School Class was on May 17 at Safeco Field. In his address to the graduates, their families and friends, Lee honored not only his own family, but also the exceptional professors who were important to the success of the 2008 Class. His speech, well seasoned with Lee’s particular brand of good humor and sincerety, was clearly a highlight for the large audience in attendance. He gave particular emphasis to the duty of the graduates to use their education to advance justice. And for the icing on the cake, Lee was also recognized for his academic achievements as a Cum Laude graduate.
Lee’s wife, Courtnei, was
also recognized for her contribution to Lee’s successes. Courtnei
is one year behind Lee in
Lee has been a legal intern for the past two years with Hanis Irvine Prothero, and upon his admission to the Bar, is expected to join the firm as a litigation and transactional attorney in the areas of real estate and land use, business, education, civil rights, and Federal claims.
