Some of high school’s biggest names in local basketball teamed off under the spotlight at The ShoWare Center on Friday, January 29th, for the 2nd Annual Les Schwab Shootout.
The big match up of the night was the final game between Kentwood and Kentridge. The game showcased two of the nation’s top prep basketball players, 6’2″ Guard, Gary Bell, of Kentridge; and Kentwood’s 6’10” Center, Josh Smith. During halftime, HANIS IRVINE PROTHERO, Attorneys at Law, sponsored The Kent Shootout $10,000 Shot. Six students from the four Kent area high schools were given a chance at winning $10,000 for their school’s ASB fund. Two students came close.
