Jamie
L. Perry's focus is in the areas of trust and estates, family
law, criminal defense and adoption. In those practice areas
she helps families deal with some of the most important and delicate
situations they may face, such as child custody, divorce or end of
life decision making.
Jamie has deep roots in the Kent community and as such is
involved in several community organizations. In 2008 she was
appointed to the Kent City Council and is the current Council
President. She is the chair of the Economic and Community
Development committee and a member of the operations
committee. She also serves as a governing board member for the
Kent Regional Fire Authority (RFA).
Regionally Jamie serves on the Growth Management Planning Council which deals with planning and growth issues countywide
and is on the WIRA 9 board. She is also currently serving on the Board of Directors and is a volunteer mentor for Communities in Schools of Kent.
During each summer, and before joining Hanis Irvine Prothero,
PLLC, Jamie gained experience in family law while interning with Holman,
Cahill, Garrett, Ives and Oliver in Seattle. While working as
an intern, Jamie utilized an array of skills acquired during law school
to assist clients in a variety of family law matters.
Jamie
graduated from the William O. Douglas Honors College at Central Washington
University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and
a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy. She then went on to
obtain her J.D. in the fall of 2006 from the University of Oregon.
While in Oregon she was the Treasurer of the family law club on campus
and Vice President of the Federalist Society. She also participated
in the Mediation clinic on campus where she mediated cases in Lane
County Small Claims Court.
Jamie

In her free time Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, watching movies, working out, and playing with her dogs Allie and Brutus. She is also an avid football fan.
