Erik passed the bar in October of 2010. Over the past few years, Erik has interned with Hanis Irvine Prothero and has assisted the firm with research and preparation of both civil and criminal law matters. Keeping in stride with his interning days, Erik’s practice involves working alongside Mark Prothero and Greg Girard in criminal defense, and with Vanessa Vanderbrug in personal injury litigation. Additionally, Erik handles all traffic ticket matters and has been very successful in his handling of over 100 infractions ranging from speeding tickets to photo enforcement violations.

Erik graduated from the University of Washington in 2007 with a BA in philosophy, and recently received his JD from Gonzaga University School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During his time at Gonzaga Law, Erik served as the Developmental Committee Chair and an Associate Editor for Gonzaga's Law Review and was awarded 3L Associate Editor of the year. Erik was also an associate editor for Gonzaga's Journal of International Law. During his 3L year, Erik also worked in Gonzaga's University Legal Assistance, a non-profit clinical law program providing pro bono services to the local community.

Erik is enjoying the beginnings of his career and serving the local community. Erik is involved with assisting Kentwood high school’s mock trial team and is also a mentor in Communities in School program in the Kent School District. In his free time, Erik enjoys watching football, playing sports, reading and attending theatrical productions.
