Mary Beth is a senior associate attorney. Her practice focuses on immigration law, including removal defense, asylum, U visas, VAWA claims, family-based petitions, adjustment of status, and naturalization.  She is admitted to the Washington State Bar Association and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).  She is fluent in spoken and written Spanish.

Mary Beth brings a myriad of experiences to her law practice. In 2000, she graduated cum laude from Pacific Lutheran University, focusing her education on international development and Spanish literature.   From 2001 to 2004, Mary Beth served with Mennonite Central Committee in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, in a program for working children. Returning to Washington State in 2004, she worked for three years with the City of Auburn, strengthening the city’s network of social services and educational programs for the city’s burgeoning immigrant communities.   Through this, she was inspired by the acute need for Spanish-speaking attorneys, and pursued a career in immigration law.

Mary Beth graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in 2010.  During law school, she served as staff member (2008-09) and Editor in Chief (2009-10) of the Seattle Journal for Social Justice. She also received the CALI Excellence for the Future award in Advanced Immigration Law, 2010.  In 2012, Mary Beth was named Pacific Lutheran University’s Outstanding Recent Alumna Award. This annual award is given to one PLU alumnus within 15 years of graduation who embodies the university’s spirit of public service and commitment to social justice.
