Deborah K. Neighbors is an associate attorney and practices exclusively in immigration law.  Deborah’s practice focuses on deportation defense, waiver applications, U visas, family-based petitions, and naturalization.  She has two degrees from the University of Oregon.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in 2001 with Magna Cum Laude honors and Phi Beta Kappa distinction and her law degree from University of Oregon.  As an undergraduate, she studied women’s studies, political science and history as majors and earned a minor in Latin American studies.  With a passion for helping people, she went into the Peace Corps in 2001 in Costa Rica where she spent 2 years.  This experience helped her further develop her Spanish communication skills.  She has years of non-profit experience with various social organizations.  Deborah has worked as an immigration attorney since 2015 and most recently with a non-profit that provides legal services where she developed the Removal Defense Program and provided representation to individuals who were in removal proceedings in the Portland Immigration Court.  

Deborah is admitted to the Washington State Bar Association and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). In her free time Deborah enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and dancing Cuban salsa.
